Rep. Phil Montgomery’s statement on the campaign for the 4th Assembly District seat:

“Throughout my 12 years in office I prided myself in working across the aisle to get things done for my constituents. The last thing the people of Allouez, Ashwaubenon, DePere and Green Bay need is an extremist party insider representing them in the Legislature.

“As Democratic Party spokesman, Sam Dunlap has blindly endorsed Governor Doyle’s failed agenda, which includes sanctioning gay marriage, driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, $5 billion in tax increases and global warming legislation that would have cost the ratepayers of this state $16 billion and the loss of 43,000 jobs. 

“Running for elected office should be about the people, not about a personal or party agenda. I will continue to work with reasonable people of both parties to move this state forward.”
